About the Book
To survive the forthcoming holocaust in Poland, his scholarly gentle father is convinced by his iron-willed mother to escape to that "golden land" of America. The youngest of four sons, Zalman (Sol), only four years old, begins a lifelong adventure of eight decades, from Poland to the United States before World War II - thereafter in World War II in North Africa, Pakistan, India, and China as a "Flying Tiger," with experiences of lifelong duration. Life continues with sixty years of marriage to Sylvia, four children, fifteen grandchildren, and extended family. Congruent professions dovetail that of a Hebrew scholar, and world pigment/color expert for automotive coatings - deepening the arts, intelligence and wisdom to bequeath to posterity. This autobiography uniquely mirrors the passion and longing for existence with purpose - the pursuit of God's gift of life.
