Old age can be described, as that period in life, when because of the wear and tear of time, man cannot attend to his personal needs as he once did, and now needs the aid of his peers to do so. The predestinator knew before hand all about this and has by words set out the plan whereby man, would be able to tide over this period of his existence with least inconvenience. We note here God’s first command to man – Increase and multiply and replenish the earth. Here the stage was set by words that man would always have a helper for aid in need, when his body became weary on its journey along the road of time. Then too God was mindful to spell out in his command to man – "Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the land," again setting the stage for the comfort of the Aging at the right time. We shall not regress here, to treat the indiscipline of man in breach of the laws of God, but as members of the family of man, do our best and empathize with our seniors and show love to our parents. Our finity does not allow us to adequately provide for old age; for it is not only the amount of the provisions, but the devotion and quality of the service of attendees supplying the provisions, that brings the most comfort to the aged, as each individual may need a different kind of care according to cultural background, "as it is not how old the man is, but how the man is old." It is hoped here, that this book will help to serve up some of the ingredients that might be found lacking in the stages of aging. Finally, we hope this book will be a companion to all Seniors, Veterans and Elders and a friend to all the Aging.

Lazare Sevastien Eustache was born December 18, 1923 in Trinidad, West Indies, to Denister and Fabien Eustache. He is a graduate of Government Teachers Training College of Trinidad and Tobago, and is presently a student of the City University of New York, U.S.A.
