Luke's Twelve Eyewitnesses

His students and his sons knew how to write them, for it was a common schoolboy exercise. Having a personal tie to Pilate, he sorted out the testimony with a purpose. If he could show that Jesus was not a Jew, then Pilate could be cleared since he killed Jesus (or allowed it.) Judaism was a legal religion, but others (than the Roman gods) were not.

First testimony was linked to scripture and placed into the form of an encomnia. Then the parts of all the encomnia were rearranged in scriptural order. That formed five books which he completed before 40 c.e. His son Secundus was in exile from 41-49 during which time he formed one book and added the stitchwords that help a reader to reconstruct each individual witness. He died and left the books to his brother Tertius in Sinope. He became a Christian bishop, but he did not publish. He left the books upon his death to Marcion, his Christian anti-Semetic nephew. Marcion abridged the work by leaving out miracles and references to Judaism. That stirred up anger in 117 c.e., and the Gospel of Luke as it now exists was found in Alexandria.

After evidence that this theory is possible, the next step is to recover the twelve encomnia and one report from the extant gospel. Each pericope should have an Old Testament reference, not necessarily a quotation. Each pericope should have relevance to a pair of personalities, one that of Jesus and the other that of a recognized Jewish hero. Since the encomnia was composed to be used as notes in oratory before it was a study as such, these should be harmonious with such a comparison when the comparison is not expressed. In most encomnia, the focus of the relevant Jewish sect should be evident. Last of all and most interesting are the stitchwords which unify the encomnia along with the use of the name of the witness. The rest of this work demonstrates that research, linguistics, and history show that the theory is true.
