This "spin-off’ from A Lesson in Forgiving, realizes the theological relationship between forgiving and giving. In an age when prosperity teaching is popular, it is necessary to teach foundational truths. "Give, and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed do....,, announces the promised teachings and blessings of Jesus to the masses. This guarantee holds true for us today. A Lesson In Giving expresses the scriptural approach to giving as God gave His son Jesus, a ransom for our sin. While writing this book and exploring the original Greek of the New Testament, it became evident that Jesus not only taught the principle of giving, but He is the nine forms of the verb "give." To know that Jesus gave as only God could give lets us know that to give is to God! This particular book has meant a great deal to me. I have often been told that I was "a giver" and now I understand that my "giving" was and is an expression of God. My prayer is that all that read this book will become "givers" because, "you cannot beat God’s giving! No matter how you try!
About the Author
Retired from teaching kindergarten students, Rebecca Leggett pursues her passion in studying The Word of God. From reading and searching the scripture, God has granted her much insight into His Word. She has written several books expounding on scriptural principles in an effort to spread the good news of Jesus and His love. "I try to write something everyday." The former Norfolk Public School System teacher retired after 22 years of teaching Kindergarten. She resides in Hampton, Virginia and stays active in church ministries and community projects. She is a widow and devoted mother of six grown children. Among her hobbies are gardening, sewing, cooking and crafts making of all kinds. She started writing large print, easy to read books for family members and church members who were not advent readers. "I wanted to encourage people to read and show them that they could hear from God if they would enter His presence through meditation on His Word." She typed, printed and bound her books just to "get the Word out to the streets."
