About the Book

Margaret Morse’s book Torrey's Miracle - A Matter of Choice is the story of her daughter Torrey's healing from an aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It shares the alternative cancer therapy, IAT (Immuno-Augmentative Therapy) that Mrs. Morse and her husband chose for their daughter. It tells of the role their faith in God played in making this decision.

The author shares her belief that every person has a right to make choices. These choices include who we are, what we do, how we believe, and so on. One of those choices has to do with how one takes care of their health. She believes that each person has the right to make a choice about the treatment they might be given when this disease, cancer attacks. She believes that every choice a person makes comes out of love or out of fear.

About the Author

Margaret Berger Morse’s life was profoundly altered after her daughter’s remarkable healing from cancer. Her love for God and family was stronger and she was filled with a new gratefulness for life. Her desire was that one day this story of her family’s experience in particular, the choice made to use an alternative cancer therapy, would be told.

Following an eighteen-year teaching career in Elementary Education in 1987 Mrs. Morse returned to graduate school. She changed her vocation and began a new career working within her church denomination as an Administrator, Volunteer Choir Director, and Lay Preacher. Leaving that role in 1997, she found yet a new vocation, that of writing. Choices A Journey Of Faith -Torrey's Miracle is her first published work, now reprinted under the title Torrey's Miracle - A Matter Of Choice.

Mrs. Morse holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut; a Master's of Science in Education from Central Connecticut University, New Britain, Connecticut; and a Master's of Arts in Theological Studies from Hartford Seminary, Hartford, Connecticut.

She currently resides in Connecticut and Vermont with her husband where she writes and gives spiritual direction. She enjoys walking/hiking, swimming, boating, and canoeing while experiencing the beauty of New England as well as visiting with her daughters and their families and working on her web site. A special joy comes when she is given the opportunity to preach in local churches.
