THE REFORMER

casual human)
Until the last second he was
scorned
The fiend who worships
himself
untapped
The fiend who once sang the
song of
the living
Now buried alive
he reaps
of his ring broken
engagement
broken
marriage
broken
humanity
broken
divinity
broken
Now left
he is
the token
that
once was the Living Word
promised
to be spoken
The fiend now sneers at his
stagnant
bravery
The fiend knows to shift his
grip
that once upheld
the Inherited
torch
well-lit
After much longing
The fiend treats his loom
to weave
Again
The fiend pots- the-potter
newly adorned
The fiend reforms

looks on
upon his
scorn

with
being
born.

A waif in time’s thinned madness
She is not diminished
She is not without a finish
She is not without the need for a
Holy joust
Although
divested
Her heirloom
divested
Through time’s thinned madness
and the
big bricks men have laid
She is dauntless
She is not phased
Regrouping within the Holiest of
Holies
She is His chambermaid
He has said
for
naught of vanity

Beulahland is a volume of free verse prose and poetry intended to examine the snares of misunderstanding, keeping so many in the dark.
