About the Book

Makeba’s New Adventures is based upon growing up and starting school. It is a short story, that deals with the first time anxieties of a young expectation of living and working with others. The young lady in the book grows up well refined and disciplined. She is raised to be independent, and to take note of herself worth. To know who she is, and what is expected to her from her family strong will to survive.

The Makeba adventure is one of a learning process, discovering her ancestry and family roots. She learns of her ancestral homeland of Africa and its fine principles based on faith, purpose, and unity within a community.


About the Author

The author, Anthony D. Amaker, is an African American raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York. He grew up during the height of the civil rights era and has taken a special forum to the causes of the African American struggles.

He is now working on matters of self-esteem and development for Black children, because they are truly our future. He has grown up with a strong mindset to foster ambition, goals, and self worth in all the children that he encounters. He has been raised in a big family and believes highly in the process of family values. He hopes to spread a sense of joy with every book that dedicated to children of all ethnicity.
