"Click on to C-INTERPOL, Jack. Wolf’s on line."
"Thanks, Jerry . . . Wolf!"
"Jack, I have terrible news about ErinDeutche . . . it vanished just like ErinStone, but that’s the good news. Look at this."
Wolf brought on line the scanned document he found at the abandoned factory.
"Just feast your eyes on this."
Jack watched his large screen fill in with the blueprint.
"What have we here . . . looks like a futuristic helicopter . . . no it looks like a sheep on steroids in wolf’s clothing; is that what I think it is?"
"Yeah, Jack; it’s a modified Blackhawk."
"I thought so. And they’ve fitted it with quite an arsenal . . . retractable air-to-ground missiles . . . side machine guns . . . air-to-airs. It looks like they can reload in flight. This ain’t no ordinary troop carrier. Hey, what are those weird looking balls drawn in the cargo area?"
"We got one of the experts from Weisbaden Air Base. She thinks they’re additional fuel tanks. My guess is they’re made of rubber and self seal when ruptured."
"What the hell is that thing going to be used for? I can bet it won't be the vehicle of choice for a long range, Sunday tour of the European Continent!"
"No, Jack, not unless the tour includes causing mayhem for entertainment. We thought about it for a while, and we see no purpose except for weapons or drug running. Even then, there are cheaper, more efficient and less visible means of accomplishing those goals. One thing we all feel is the case--whoever is manufacturing this is not going to have a long debate before using it. Judging by the way they vacated their plant, they must know we’re on to them."
"Am I seeing things, Wolf, or is that a five-bladed articulated main rotor?"
"No, you’re not seeing things. Our expert has indicated the five blades, along with cowling modifications to the intake and exhaust systems allows the rotor to turn more slowly and the design muffles the sound from the turbines. It is evident these operators want to be quiet. And we found one of the rotor blades at the Essen facility. It is no ordinary blade."
"What’s the difference, Wolf?"
"Our expert gave a call to the Transonics Dynamics Tunnel test facility at Langley . . . where they research on rotors for military helicopters. After describing the blade dimensions and configuration, one of the Langley scientists told her it sounded like a Langley-designed Growth Blackhawk tapered-blade. It’s a top secret, state of the art blade that is still in the research stage, and there is no way anyone could have a copy of it. In fact, a full size blade hasn’t been made yet. Smaller model blades are now being tested using computer-simulated environments. The blade has a very high rotor lift coefficient."
"Translate that one for me, Wolf."
"Those blades will allow sizable improvements in the helicopter’s lift capability; they’ll need it to carry that scary arsenal they have on board."
"Just what are they preparing for anyhow, World War III?"

Written in 1996-97 before the Irish Easter Peace Accord, Code Talkers combines adventure, politics, and hi-tech with a dash of the human struggle, its joy and agony. Since then Four thousand St. Kevin's orphan alumni have created their own secret and powerful high tech, global conglomerate. At first their goals for Ireland were lofty, but no matter their goals, the Troubles in Northern Ireland just would not give . . . and in frustration, they reached a dangerous crossroad . . . a strange synapse of events. A couple of decades of working behind the scenes, accumulating billions of dollars in hi-tech ventures and manipulating the world’s financial institutions was not getting the job done. Once just a bunch of peace-loving orphans, the Order has now quickened the pace. It has unveiled its long secret battery of hi-tech weapons, and it will force the rest of the world to take notice.

Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, AJ Rossetti attended public high school and Salem State College. He received a graduate degree from Tufts University and his JD from Massachusetts School of Law. AJ began his journey as a novelist while in Hawaii and has been writing ever since.
