"So, that is why he was in here," sighs Franklin as he believes Sandra, but he can’t believe that it is true. "I need some time alone, if you don’t mind," sighs Franklin as he is in total shock. Sandra walks out of the police station crying, but Shane struts his way wearing a smirk on his face. Franklin sits on his bed trying to cope with the fact that his foster mother, Tracy, is dead. Suddenly, he turns to see Shane strut out the door. "Shane!" shouts Franklin. Shane turns around as Franklin gives Shane fair warning. "Be careful, Shane; you may get what you want now, but you will get what you deserve later," warns Franklin as static begins to surround his brown pupil. Shane gets chills going up his spine, as the warning is very intimidating and somewhat of an omen to what’s to come. Shane leaves in a hurry as Franklin slowly turns his head and stares at the ground in a cold silence. "Are you ready now, Doc?" asks Joseph. "Yeah, let’s get this over with," says Frederick. Joseph gets up from his chair as he and Frederick leave the lounge and back out the hallway, Joseph walks out in front of Frederick as they both approaches Franklin’s room. Joseph slides the key in the lock and unlocks the door, the red steel door screeches open as Frederick looks in and sees Franklin, sitting in the same position of the same table with the same chair, it’s as he didn’t move from yesterday. Frederick enters calmly in the room, not afraid, the door slams, but it doesn’t startle Frederick. Frederick walks calmly to the small table as he sits in his chair in front of Franklin, who is staring at the table. "Hello, Franklin," says Frederick as he pulls up his briefcase to the table and begins to get ready for his session with Franklin. Franklin stares at the table. "How was your day, Doctor?" "It was good," says Frederick.

About the Author
Eric Schomburg started writing in 1996, where he wrote short stories and poems. Eric was born in West Portsmouth, Ohio where he commenced his writing career. Eric has attended Portsmouth West High School and is attending Shawnee State University majoring in psychology. In 1999, Eric found great dignity in the poetry world; Eric was published in an anthology of poems titled, The Whirling Sea for his poem, " A Dying King," which won the Editor's Choice Award for best poem. Eric has always been fascinated by the horror genre; writers such as John Carpenter, Clive Barker, Thomas Harris, and Alfred Hitchcock influenced Eric into writing stories like One of a Kind.
