About the Book

Closer than Brothers is a western historical novel about two dissimilar characters who love the same woman yet forge an enduring friendship only death can separate.

Conflict develops when Elizabeth marries Andrew only to learn too late that he is still married to a woman in Tennessee. His friend, John Henry, offers the pregnant Elizabeth a true marriage and a new start.

Characters are presented as truly good people dealing with the problems of life in their often-harsh environment. Tension builds as characters face feelings of betrayal, isolation, and loneliness on the frontier, during the latter part of the nineteenth century.
