We’ve
got this other friend Collette, she’s nice, but she’s our virgin friend and she
can’t relate to everything Vanay and I say.
She moved here from Michigan to go to the University “Bartlet”. She’s studying to be an engineer. Most girls, who’ve been watched over like
hawks get to school and go wild, make a few mistakes, sleep with every cute
guy, and have an abortion and then mello out.
Nope, not Collette. She’s saving
herself for her husband. Sometimes I
envy her, but it’s too late for all that.
Collette does date, but most of the guys lose interest after finding out
that she has an apartment off campus, but isn’t giving it up. This one guy Jeromy or Jerome, I always get
it mixed up, he’s been hanging around.
He really likes Collette and the sex thang ain’t important, he
says... He may be straight though,
because he’s kinda nerdy, but he wants to be a doctor and right now he’s all
about the books. If Collette can hang
in there, Jeromy/Jerome is probably a good catch. He comes from a well off family and you can tell he plans on
having his own piece of the rock.
There,
the table’s back in order. Food put
away. The counter is wiped off, dishes
done, floor swept, range light on, and I’m ready for bed. Wonder if O’dar’s too tired to go once more.
O’dar took my clothes to the room when
he went so, nothing new; I was walking through the house stark naked. I hadn’t realized that I didn’t pee after
sex. I’d better go now ‘cause I felt my
bladder getting heavy. One thing I like
about being on the pill is the fact that stuff doesn’t stay up in there. For some reason that makes me feel that I’m
pretty secure in not getting pregnant.
After I used it, I freshened up a bit and slid into bed next to
O’dar. He rolled around a bit and ended
up on his back. Perfect, I thought, as
I reached for the woodie that was large but not hard. A smile grew on his face and so did woodie. I knew he was tired so I decided to ride the
pony. Well into the workout, “Do Me
Baby” by Prince started to play on the radio, which was next to the bed on the
nightstand. And all hell broke
loose. He rolled over and before I knew
it he was going buck wild. Sweat was
flying and I couldn’t tell between the moaning in the song and mine, or his for
that matter. Right as we both reached
our climax the strangest thing crossed my mind, it was Jerome not Jeromy and
before I knew it I had said Jerome right out loud. All moans stopped, even Prince’s I think. O’dar was looking dead at me, no smile, no
nothing. With a look that could kill
and a voice that could too. O’dar said,
“What the fuck did you say?”
I
stuttered, O’O’O’dar, I didn’t mean anything.
I was trying to figure out Collette’s friends name and it just, just
came to me.”
“It
came to you alright and out your damn mouth.”
I
knew he was really mad because he never cursed this much, seriously. “What the hell were you thinking about that
for anyway? At this point? Cause Collette ain’t giving him any. What was your plan? To step in?”
“O’dar
that’s not fair. You don’t have to get
nasty.”
“You’re
right. I don’t have to get nasty, all I
have to do is get the hell outta here.”
He jumped up and grabbed his shorts and headed for the bathroom. At first I just laid there, mad. Then I realized the water was running which
meant O’dar was washing and really planning to leave. So I jumped up. I went
towards the door. He saw me coming and
slammed it shut. I didn’t try to open
it. I just talked through the
door. “O’dar,” I said slowly, “I’m
sorry. You can’t leave mad. Let me try to explain.” Just then the door opened. He walked right past me, picked up his jeans
and started to get dressed. “So you’re
gonna leave? Just like that?” I said as
a tear eased its way down my face.
