My Mystery Lady

Then Christina came across the black velvet pouch that had the photograph, letter, ring and the recipe in it. She was just as curious about the items as I was and we wondered what significance each one had. Why were these four items separated from the rest, wrapped in newspaper, put into a velvet pouch and wrapped in an apron? From the photograph of the children they seemed to range between three and six years in age. Their clothing was no different from the jeans and sweaters my children wore when they were their age. Christina thought that maybe the grandparents lived far away and these were their only grandchildren so they took the picture with them wherever they traveled. Then there was the letter that was written so many years ago by some young man madly in love with his sweetheart. I saw Christina read it, and I knew she was reading of the good times Valentino and Cecilia were going to have, and how Valentino would love her till the day he dies. When Christina finished reading the letter she said she wanted to meet Valentino because she knew he was the man of her dreams.
