What People are saying…
In life, we are benefited by challenges and blessed with
victories. Sometimes they come wrapped in packages that we don’t expect.
This book will help you develop a healthy appreciation for the ups and downs
of life...with a foundation in God’s Word.”

Chris Squire, music mogul, radio guru, entrepreneur, and
now author...you never cease to amaze me! This collection of writings is loaded
with what I call “Squirisms.” Insightful, thought provoking reflections
on life, its multiple facets and many lessons.

Outpourings of the heart have great impact in whatever
format they are packaged. Chris Squire has long been known for his work in radio,
and also behind and in front of the famed Wilmington Chester Mass Choir. While
music has been the format to date, Squire’s latest effort is text-based.
And just as inspiring. “How Did You Know What I Was Feeling (You’re
Not Alone)” is a collection of his thoughts, poetry, musing and just general
expressions on a myriad of topics. In fact, “expressions” are Squire’s
preferred term for these works. Spiritually grounded, his expressions are an
easy read, and strike the soul with an immediate and honest impact. Touching
on topics, ranging from God's Creation to intimate reflections on human love,
pain, suffering and joy, Squire’s words span the range of human feeling
and emotion.

Chris Squire is clearly speaking from his heart. "You're Not Alone"
is genuine and appropriate since many of Squire's revelations are identifiable.
The search and discovery of one's inner self can be a painstaking journey. But
in the end, one can inspire millions. Squire's journey is well documented.

Professional, courteous, accessible, yet guarded,' are
only a few words that describe Chris Squire. However, after reading,”
How Did You Know What I Was Feeling? (You Are Not Alone)," there are new
words that come to mind to describe him... 'Feeling, vulnerable, gentle, and
thoughtful.' Thank you Chris for conveying your thoughts as you experienced
your: 'joys, fears, doubts and victories.' Each passage is sure to serve as
a source of encouragement to all who will read them. Thank you for being courageous
and sharing your heart.

How Did You Know What I was Feeling, excerpts…
Treasure the Small Things
Holding a hand; sharing a hug or a touch,
It's the small things in life that mean so much.
It's the small things that I've learned to treasure,
Sincere from the heart which I now find pleasure.
A smile from a friend goes a long, long way,
Remembering my name when they kneel and pray.
To notice my life is changing, a gift beyond measure,
It's the small things in life that I've now learned to treasure.
To have someone listen and pass no judgment at all,
Means the world to me, to others seem small.
To say you’ll be there, and then you're there,
Another small treasure, that shows that you care.
To experience success and even the fame,
“That fifteen minutes” people know your name.
But nothing compares to what now gives me pleasure,
It's the small things in life that I've now learned to treasure.
For all of the small things, that really aren’t small,
All of the encouragement the e-mails and the calls,
The things that time and money cannot measure,
Are now the things in life that I now treasure.
The Evolution of Man
It is amazing how we see the clouds and not the sun.
We waste our lives focusing on the weeds.
We miss the beauty of the flowers.
Those pesky little insects attract our attention.
We miss the tulips, chrysanthemums and the rose.
A man fails to fulfill his responsibility;
Now all men are failures and deadbeats.
We can't see the men who raise their children alone.
We don't see the men who press on, despite their circumstances.
A woman denies a man the opportunity to be a father;
Now all women are evil and manipulators.
We can't see the women that work to be mom and dad.
We don't see the women who try to facilitate relationships.
To be tainted by an event can cause distortion.
The clouds may cover the sun,
But the sun never stops shining.
Don't allow the past to taint your future.
Man’s development is evolutionary.
The caterpillar can't fly,
The butterfly can.
Yet they are same creature.
It just takes time
A Gift from God
Learn to accept who you are.
You are exceptional.
Learn to allow others to appreciate you.
You deserve it.
Remember you are special.
Not because of what you do, but because of who you are.
Remember when good things happen to you…
You are good.
Never forget you need to be loved
As much as you need to love others.
Never forget you need sunshine,
As much as you need rain to grow.
You are a gift from God.
Only God can make such a masterpiece.
You are a gift from God.
Only God can create perfection.
Smile knowing you are “all that”,
Not in arrogance but in confidence.
Smile knowing you will use what you have
To make the world a better place.
You are not an accident.
It is not a mistake that you are here.
You are purposed for this time.
Why? Only God knows.
Approach each day knowing today is the first day of the BEST
of your life.
Hope, Pray, Wish, Know
I hope your smiles out number your frowns.
I pray your ups overtake your downs.
I wish your laughter overshadow your tears.
I know your courage will surpass your fears.
I hope you see beyond what you see.
I pray with the Word you begin to agree.
I wish all of your dreams finally come true.
I know you will succeed in whatever you do.
I hope your heart will continue to love.
I pray you continue to seek help from above
I wish you share the greatest love story of all
I know you will do it;
