...Like a hole in his heart, like rust
Nobody he could really trust.
Night after night,
Week after week,
12 long winters
Of nothing but meat.
That shepherd of evil, guardian of crime
Lurking in the dark
No shame but pride...

Dark and quiet
the world seems to be
Then all of a sudden,
the yellow horizon
shines back at me.
Slowly at first
My heart beats fast
As the brightening light
cascades over the houses,
dips into crevices,
climb up the trees,
and walks over the ground.
I can't help but be amazed.
Now my heart slows down
As the gentle light covers
my body in gold,
something within
begins to unfold...
