About the Book

Surviving drunk drivers, gutter politics and police corruption is a disturbingly true saga that deals openly and honestly with the overwhelming sense of helplessness and hopelessness that literally took me to the brink of homicide and suicide.

I discuss, in detail, of how I developed and adhered to my survival skills that helped me cope with a horrendous car crash involving a drunk driver that almost killed me, gutter politics and rampant police corruption.

I talk about overcoming a deep-seated hatred that paralyzed my ability to think rationally and how the tragedy of another helped me to rid myself of that hatred.

I am not a professional writer. Rather, I am simply a cop who loved my career and has been to hell and back trying to keep it. I'm sharing my life with you so that if you ever find yourself in the dungeon of evil such as I did, you will know that survival is possible.

About the Author

Ray is an eighteen-year law enforcement veteran who served his community with honor, pride, dignity and professionalism throughout the course of his career.

In 1994 Ray survived a potentially career ending head on collision involving a drunk driver and endured months of painful rehabilitation so that he could remain a law enforcement officer.

In 1999, after successfully managing the zone six police academy for five years Ray became the target of a corrupt sheriff who initiated a concentrated campaign of abuse against him because of his steadfast refusal to surrender his ethics.

Ray spent two and a half years working tirelessly documenting his ordeal. This is his remarkable story of survival.
