Witty Inventions

Fred discovered, almost by accident, that he was very good with chemical compositions while working for a hospital-supply company years ago. Ideas kept coming to him, in many different forms. He was faithful to write them down in a type of standard lab(oratory) book. One idea was for a song that he developed, and which was later made famous by a well-known country western singer.

Fred began to think about fossil fuel emissions about twenty-five years ago, after an acid rain cloudburst destroyed much of his new foliage. He had no petroleum engineering training; but he went to the library to begin to study the components of acid rain, vehicle emissions and the worsening environmental situation.

Several of his energy-related discoveries over the years permitted him to raise his family in good style; however, his biggest discovery and patent were "stolen" by a untrustworthy partner about seven years ago which was obviously a very painful experience for Fred.

His son, who has a very good business mind, joined him about four years ago to help protect him from opportunistic businesspeople. As they worked together, Fred came up with a completely new method for reducing fuel emissions at a lower cost than previously. Though Fred’s previous twenty or so inventions had provided an income, this new patent application proved to have great commercial potential and appeal. This one was the "mother-lode."

We helped to bring in several offers of venture capital funding in the millions of dollars; and assisted in presenting licensing opportunities to major global oil companies. His large chunk of stock is becoming worth a lot of money these days – and it just doubled in value during the past three months.

Fred loves heaven, and is constantly on the lookout for fresh ideas and inspiration. He looks for daily direction on what to work on, whom to partner with, and for answers to scientific and commercial questions. In response to Thomas Edison’s observation, he asserts that his success is "50% inspiration, and 50% follow-through."

Fred’s newer inventions are better than ever, with broad commercial appeal, coming at a faster rate than before. If he had a laboratory assistant and an in-house patent attorney, he says he could file up to one hundred patent applications a year. [Author’s observation: at that rate in ten years, Fred might achieve Edison’s accomplishment of 1093 patented inventions.
