About the Book
Sow The Seeds: A Composition In Verse is a collection of poetry gathered from the earth of what we feel and what we value. Each poem plows the surface of daily living, to plant and nurture the meditations that yield our understanding of life.
Additionally, Sow The Seeds is a journal that invites all who read it, to cultivate the meaning and merit of their own values, beliefs and experiences and to write down what is harvested on the blank pages that follow. Each reader is encouraged to share the bounty of their personal revelations with family and friends, to nourish the roots of our belonging.
Also, as a companion book to Water For The Soul, the poems of Sow The Seeds are cross-referenced to the prose by page, providing access to a resource that will enable greater clarity and understanding of the verse.
Finally, as a gift-book, Sow The Seeds offers a chance to promote the compassion and fellowship vital to the lives of everyone, for through our interactions, we meal the grain that feeds the soul of our human family.
About the Author
Michael Tyler grew up in Chatam Village, on the southside of Chicago. The third son of four siblings, he experienced the family impact of divorce by age thirteen.
Reared by a mother rich in love and commitment, he completed college and went on to become a fitness consultant.
In time, he fulfilled his greatest ambition by becoming a father. And with that distinction, he esteems the value of all children by the hopeful promise of redemption and renewal inherent within them.
His guiding principle in life:
"Be ashamed to die, until you have won some victory for humanity."
— Horace Mann
Tyler continues to reside in Chicago with his loving wife, Julie and their remarkable son, Ziggi.
