About the Book

Remember Jeffrey Archer’s best seller, The Prodigal Daughter, and Daniel Steel’s best seller, The Gift? Ruthful Success blends them together. In Archer’s book, a woman’s struggle for success is triggered by her, wealthy, Polish, immigrant, father’s own success she wanted to repay him, but is betrayed by the price of power. In Steel’s book, a family is gratified by the gift of love, living and learning after the woman heals a broken home. Romance, mystery and suspense are combined here where Marjorie Johns, a single parent, living indigently, struggles for success while her life is entangled with family issues, joys, complications, and temptations. Unexpectedly, she finds love. A wealthy man who cares less of for her struggle for success, and later is faced with a secret that disturbed and saddened her, as she was surprised of an affair thought forgotten as she gets gifts of love. Betrayed as in Archer’s book, but not by the price of power, by the power of a gift. In Steel’s book, it is how powerful the gift of love is.

Striving for success is hard work it’s a woman’s struggle all the time, like myself, constantly, encountering obstacles, personal and professional. Marjorie Johns never gave up.
