About the Author

Born in 1954 in Syosset, New York, Dino P. Ascari started taking piano lessons at the age of five. At thirteen he began teaching and performing professionally.

In 1976 Dino received a B.A. degree from Stony Brook University, majoring in music. The following year, he completed a Master of Science degree in Music Education from Long Island University and became Director of Teacher Development at the Malverne School of Music on Long Island.

In 1997 Dino and his wife Deborah became published songwriters placing their song "You Are the One I’ve Waited For" on the Toni Walker CD, "Making Christ Known."

Currently residing with their four children in Melville, New York, Dino’s commitment to excellence in the field of piano pedagogy has, to date, spanned over thirty-five years. Dino P. Ascari is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
