About the Book
The book, All The Pastor’s Men: The Associate Minister
in The Black Church Setting is a must for pastors and associate ministers
in African American Churches. There have been virtually no instruction manuals
written for African American associate ministers by either clergy or laity.
Even though the circumstances in autonomous churches differ, much of what happens
in ministry between pastors and parishioners and the associate minister is more
or less linked together in most African American Churches. All The Pastors
Men is written in detail and provides many solutions to problem that transpire
between pastors and associate ministers as well as between parishioners and
associate ministers. Included in this book are job descriptions, covenants,
and a multitude of information that has been used by the author in his local
church, as well as information that will help the associate minister in his
preaching, devotional time, family life, and in various area of ministry. Hopefully
it will help to create better understanding and relationships between pastors
and associate ministers everywhere.
