Fore The Deer Childrun

Cetar was a lovely place to live. The planet's sky was orange. The trees were purple. The grass was red. The sun was blue, and the water was green. The mountains were black, and the flowers were made of gold, silver, and copper. All in all it was a beautiful planet even though it was very much different from our own planet, the Earth.

Sandy was a child and her real name was 26 letters long and had seven syllables. It was very difficult to pronounce. Because Sandy had hair the color of sand, everyone gave her the nickname of Sandy and called her that.

In Sandy's world, all of the adults and the older people went to school and played all day. In her world, the children were the ones who did all of the work. Sandy was an astronomer and spent many hours of many nights looking up into their dark sky and studying the heavens.

Cetar was not the only planet revolving around their sun. There were twelve planets in all that orbited around her sun, and Sandy and her people had studied them all and had found no life on any of them except their very own planet. Many of the scientists on Cetar proposed that just because life did not exist in their own solar system it did not mean that life did not exist anywhere else.

One night Sandy went to bed early for a change. She did not always study the heavens every night and was not the only astronomer on the planet.

When she put her head on the pillow, she began to hear a strange beep-beep-beep within her ears. There were long beeps and short beeps. She got up and looked and listened all around the house to see where the noise was coming from, but she did not find anything that made this sound at all. She returned to bed.

When she put her head back on her pillow, the beep-beep sound came once again. She listened for a long time. The beeps repeated themselves. The sound was not annoying to Sandy. It was a pleasant sound and was nice and reassuring in a way. In a little while, Sandy fell asleep.

When she awoke the next morning, she recalled the strange sounds in her ears of the previous night. She sat up and listened to see if it was still there. There was nothing she could hear now. All was silent.

Sandy got up, dressed, and went to work. They were studying sunspots today. She had a lot of work to do.

When night came again, Sandy heard the strange beeps in her ears again. She took out her recorder and spoke into the microphone. "Long beep, short beep, short beep," she said.

She decided the beeps were a code and were telling some kind of message. She made a promise to herself to do some research tomorrow.
