About the Book

To the readers:

The biggest need for Jesus can be seen in the tragic ordeal that occured with the Tsunami.  Over 100,000 people destroyed.  The Bible says that, "It's the thief that comes not, but to steal, kill and destroy in the lives of people, but Jesus came that we have life and have it more abundantly."Jn10:10  In that area, right before the 60ft wave came,  there were two boats just off the coast and a 30ft wave was coming to devour one.  The other boat had a Holy Ghost filled, believer on board, that spoke to the wave, just like Jesus and the wave dropped.  Most Muslims and Buddhist, if they acknowledge Jesus at all, look at Him as a prophet only. They do not believe God's Word, that Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world.  The Word says, "He that comes to God must believe that He is (God), and a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Heb11:6. You cannot call God a liar and think that you are under His protective arch of safety.  In contrast, look how many Christians were supposed to be killed in the World Trade Center attack. But there are countless testimonies of God's leadership, interference and prevention of lives lost in the fall.  Over 100,000 people should have been in that area, on that day, but less than 3000 were killed.  Choose you this day whom you will serve, whether it be Jesus the redeemer, Strong Tower, Deliverer, the Almighty God or the death, dumb, blind and sleeping idol of the world's religion, that have not the power to save.  As for me and my house, we're going to serve the Lord Jesus.

In Christian love,

Vanessa

About the Author

So that you know where I’m coming from:

God called me into the fold while I studied His word during the separation of my first marriage. A girlfriend came by to visit me at mommy’s place. She saw the noise and confusion going on all around me, and asked me to come and stay with her for a while, just to sort out my feelings and look at my options. I desperately needed peace and quiet to be with my thoughts, so, I thought. Therefore, I accepted her offer.

I was a Sunday school teacher, for about eight or nine years, but I did not have a personal relationship with God. I knew Mommy had one, and there were people who were at church that had a relationship with God. I even took the classes to get baptized, although I had not received the understanding of scripture, from the Holy Spirit, at that time. I for the most part, would only read what I had to read, for Sunday school class. Once, I tried to read it straight through like a book, but that did not work. How many of you know, it takes more than just you reading and complaining to have an understanding of scripture?

I did not know, at the time, that the natural man could not understand the ways of God. I was going to church every Sunday, most of the time, after a party or something worst, and I could not understand why, God could not hear my prayers. I did not know that the prayers of the righteous availed much. And the only prayer that God wants to hear from a sinner is the prayer of repentance.

I was blaming my husband for all the wrong that he did during our marriage. I did not consider that he told me before we got married that he was a woman beater. He told me that he had absolutely no respect for credit. He also, told me all about people that have hidden agendas for things, but I was not listening. I just wanted to get married, by any means necessary. Sound familiar?

I am eternally grateful to God for using her and to Pam for her obedience to come and offer me a place to stay. I thank and praise God for sending His Spirit to teach me about His Word. I thank and praise Him in advance for all that will be touched by these words and begin a journey toward Jesus. I thank Him for the ones who will see that church attendance is not enough, any more and seek a deeper walk with God. I praise Him for the ones who will have the guts to come out of the shallow waters and go into the deep.
