About the Book

For all of our fantasies about romance and falling in love, no one ever prepares us for Mr. Wrong.

Grace Logan, a veterinarian new to the Northeastern town of Selwood, meets Helene Baxter when she brings her cat in for treatment.  When the prognosis is grim, Grace offers to call Mrs. Baxter’s son to comfort her.  Helene accidentally gives her the number of the wrong son.

When Mark Baxter arrives, Grace is immediately drawn to him.  He is gorgeous and sarcastically charming.  Everything about him clashes with her Christian values.  Grace later meets Mark’s brother Marshall, who is handsome, smart, and warm.  Marshall befriends Grace and sets her at ease even as Mark teases and tests her.

Regardless, Grace falls for Mark.  They become involved in a tumultuous romance.  She gives Mark rules...conditions...he must meet in order to date her.  Although Mark struggles to do right by her, he battles his own character flaws.  An even greater test will eventually make or destroy them.

The Conditions of Grace unfolds with heartbreak, humor, tragedy, and ultimately joy.  The novel explores how interesting life can be with Mr. Wrong and how even our greatest pain can have a purpose.

About the Author

In second grade, Lori’s teacher gave each student a piece of green, three-lined handwriting paper.  The assignment was to write a sentence in which all of the words started with the letter a.  Lori filled the front and back of the paper.  From that moment, writing became her hobby and her passion.

After receiving a degree in English Education from the University of Delaware, she became an English teacher.  However, she kept her own dreams of becoming a writer hidden.  Then one day her husband asked her about the spiral notebooks piling up next to her bed.  After she confessed to her “secret” hobby, he bought her a laptop to pursue her dream.

Within months, her first novel was finished.  As she began to share her writing, friends and family encouraged her to publish The Conditions of Grace.
