Humanity has a soul. It is our collective soul. We
all share that collective soul. It is the “soul of our soul,” the “God of our
God.” The collective soul has always been there, only awaiting our discovery.
It is our natural heritage toward which we have been evolving for thousands of
years.
The major quality of the collective soul is group
consciousness. Group consciousness is a state of knowing where personal
identity remains but identification spreads over a very large group, eventually
globally. Analogous to a term in quantum physics, it is non-local
consciousness. We become just as identified as the group as we have
been identified as individuals in the past. It is only the collective soul and
its quality of group consciousness that enable us to escape the morass of our
current condition of separative outlook and move forward. For example, through
the collective soul, religions will be renewed. Through the collective soul,
each religious culture can find rejuvenation of its intent and serve the masses
in new and arresting ways. The livingness of their essential teachings will be
recognized. Put another way, once the religions make way for the collective
soul, then the collective soul will bring renewed livingness to the particular
expression of truth that each religion is destined to present for humanity.
At this time in human history, we are ready to
participate in and contribute to this next evolutionary step. All past growth,
development and education has led to this stage of graduation to group consciousness,
to spiritual maturity. There is a plan for humanity and group consciousness is
the centerpiece of that plan for humanity by the Higher Order Planetary
Intelligences of the Earth. Only when humanity has discovered its collective
soul can it fulfill its destiny. Individual souls cannot take humanity to that
goal.
The Aquarian Age indicates the spiritual ripeness
humanity for this next step in consciousness.
A bridge to higher consciousness, though extremely
subtle, is awaiting our discovery. This bridge is the wormhole in consciousness
(WIC), which is essentially the path to what Christians have called the kingdom
of God. We must participate in building it. This bridge is present only
tentatively and as a result of our past aspirations. We actively build and
become that bridge, relating it and its construction to our own life
experience. Wormholes in consciousness lead us to the collective soul.
This building brings us into awareness of other
humans who are likewise building a bridge in consciousness to higher spiritual
realms. They are learning that the true consciousness of the soul is group
consciousness – non-local consciousness – and that this is the normal and
natural next step for humanity. This is what the Aquarian Hypothesis is all
about.
Humanity can qualify for direct energy contact from
HOPI as spiritual groups. In the Aquarian Age, spiritual groups will become
involved in the conscious process of building the new world in alignment with
the Plan of Light and Love, which issues forth from HOPI. Imagine a group
analogous to a solitary mystic but more closely aligned with spiritual intent
of God because possessing a consciousness more in line with the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God is the kingdom of group consciousness, of non-local consciousness.
Group attainment is more powerful than the
individual attainment. We know this already from psychology. It is even truer
in the realm of higher consciousness. Can we imagine how spiritual energies
will be more perfectly attracted and distributed according to true spiritual
lines because a more powerful group reception and distribution replace
individual reception and distribution?
If we can accept the vision of the Age of the Group
Server, then we can plan to work toward that vision practically and
effectively. We consciously cease waiting for the revelation that we desire for
our motivation. We begin to work based upon mental conviction of the need to do
so in order to bring the evolution of the planet to its next stage, our own
spiritual enlightenment notwithstanding. We cease trying to make God to order
and express Himself to us. We begin the truer spiritual path of seeking to
bring our living expression into rhythmic harmony with the process He would
have work out, one that includes all His creation.
How do we get there? How do we avoid wasting time
and going down many byways before finding the way to group consciousness, our
collective soul and the kingdom of God? Simply, it comes back to faith and
hope. We either do or do not believe that the kingdom of God is within and
therefore we can or cannot discover our collective soul. If we do not believe,
then we seek an external teacher and run the high risk of being misled or at
least delayed in our attainment. If we believe that the kingdom of God and the
collective soul is within, then we accept as truth nothing anyone tells us
unless it rings true to our inner teacher.

minds and hearts must unite in creating the next stage of the Plan. Combining

in initiating global spirituality
About the Author
Wayne Sterba, a dentist in
Pennsylvania, describes himself as, “An ordinary person, leading an ordinary
life as a widowed parent in an ordinary corner of the world.” Prior to his
private practice, Sterba spent 20 years in the U.S. Public Health Service
serving the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Indian Health Service (Seneca
Nation of Indians.)
Sterba
began his systematic study of the mind almost three decades ago. While enrolled
in dental school courses, he struggled with severe depression that lead him to
examine his emotional life and thinking process under the guidance of
psychological medical therapy. Through this lengthy and intense endeavor he
developed a deep awakening to the internal life and “gradually discovered the
depth, beauty and wonder of that life and how much it pays
back the dedication to sincere and strenuous investigation.”
In
the early eighties, he became a student of Eastern raja yoga while further
exploring modern physics and cosmology.
The combination led to discovery of a strong sense of correspondences between science and the laws of
consciousness. It also directed that path of further work. “I learned that the
laws of higher consciousness could only be known through deliberate and
intentional work in consciousness,” he says.
While
on that path he also sought the role of contemporary spirituality and first
encountered an apparent dilemma: It was obvious to him that higher
consciousness requires non-attachment to the external world, yet spirituality
flourishes through benevolent efforts in everyday existence. Eventually, he
became aware that the two were not divergent and explains,
“It is only through living in the mundane world correctly that we can move into
higher consciousness realms.”
Based
on this connection between both ends of the spectrum, Sterba asserts deep
appreciation of the laws of higher consciousness as fair and egalitarian. “No
matter who we are, where we are, or whatever our life setting, we can begin to
attain higher consciousness if we have the right ‘curriculum’ and
apply ourselves to that goal,” he says, adding that religious beliefs may
strengthen the course for some. “I see that most of the religious traditions I
study are founded upon these laws of consciousness even if the corresponding organizations do not recognize nor admit to that.
He
asserts that all fundamental teachings of these religions are simply the,
“ABC’s of preparation for the subsequent stage in consciousness,” and that
through that next stage of consciousness, mankind can come to know the
direction and scope of the evolutionary process both individually and
collectively. “That pending evolutionary step is group consciousness, the
consciousness state of the next higher kingdom in nature – the kingdom of higher consciousness,” he
explains.
