Heart
Why did I title this the way that I did
A Pastor after God’s own heart
Because some of the things we put him through
Another would probably had to depart.
Just like little children
We sometimes go astray
But yet you are always there
To direct us back to the right way.
We thank-you for not letting us slide
Most of all we thank-you for being our model guide.
Sometimes we get entangled in some things
That we know we should not be
But yet you are always right there
To speak a word that loose the chains
And allow us to go free.
We thank-you for being a corrector
Most of all we thank-you for being our protector.
Sometimes like sheep
We get stubborn stricken and don’t want what we need
Like chastisement, being pulled back from unseen danger to the path that is right oh no sometimes we would
rather put up a fight
And to think you are still up battling for us against the enemy in the wee
hours of the night.
We thank-you for not giving up on us even though it would have been our very
own disaster
But most of all we thank-you for being our dedicated Pastor!
Not to forget those times
You have been preaching away
And our faces at one point or another
Are screaming “Lord not today”
But you confidently and boldly stood to proclaim what God told you to say
We thank-you for not quitting but yet continuing to preach the Word
But most of all we thank-you for being a Shepherd of this herd.
You are anointed and appointed
For such a time as this and through it all we extend
our love
For we know that you are truly God-sent directly from above.
Once again we say thank-you and you are appreciated
more than you know
For all your efforts and all the many things you do
For we are truly blessed to have an awesome Pastor such as you!!
We love you!!!

As
my Pastors, I can truly say you both lead the flock to safety. You chasten the ones who rebel against God’s
Word because of the love you have for God’s people. You both labor consistently and
unconditionally. You feed, protect,
guide and nourish those in which God has placed under your covering. There are no others that could ever fulfill
your ministry and do a job as well as you two do
together. I love you both with the love
of Christ and may God‘s choice blessings overtake you.
And
I will give you shepherds according to my heart, and they will feed you with
knowledge and understanding.

About the Book
This one in a million book is simply exuberating. To read “The Poetic Heart of
God” is to understand clearly your next dimension in God and also to understand
His love, compassion and forgiveness for all mankind. It is not only for those
that are already born again but also for those that do not know the Lord in the
pardon of their sins. Jesus did not come for those that were whole but He came

in the spirit of faith and understand that the next move of God is going to
push them into their overflow. It is for those that are sick and tired of the
devil’s delusions and also for those radical and profound people that want a fresh and
supernatural move of God in their lives. It is inspiring, anointed, full of power, wisdom and life. The words in this book are
to resurrect every dead area in your life and challenge you to live again.
About the Author
Sophia Nicole Benton grew up in the small town of Farmville, N.C. She is married to Minister Ronald L. Benton together they have two small boys Caleb Rashad Benton, 9 years old and Joshua DeShaun Benton, 6 years old. She has two sisters and one brother and the greatest parents that anyone could ever ask for Ernest L. Barrett and Mamie L. Barrett. She loves cooking, writing, the great outdoors but most of all her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Poetry has become a very familiar way for her to express inner feelings. She writes exemplary poetry that is self-motivating, powerful and encouraging. Her poetry is eloquently unique and life changing. She is one that writes not only to express herself in the way she enjoys but to also deposit life into her readers.
Her poetry expresses realistic experiences and spiritual battles of everyday life yet full of promises and victories. To read her poetry is to know her scars, her pains, her fears, and also her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus is truly the center of her life and she gives all glory to Him for allowing her to complete this endeavor.
