About the Book

Liberal political humorist Jason Johnson channels left-wing enmity of George W. Bush into biting political satire, sometimes caustic, often enlightening, and always funny. His targets cross the political spectrum, and his irreverent, controversial views will engage and offend virtually everyone. Aside from sniping at the conservative right, Johnson is also a debunker, shedding light where there once was ignorance. Religion, teen sex, abortion, gun control, gay rights, and human extinction are just some of the not-so-serious subjects on which he gives his witty and unflinching spin. This collection of essays proves that Johnson’s reputation for savagely hilarious political commentary is well deserved.

About the Author

Jason Johnson is a political humor columnist for the Duluth, MN-based alternative newspaper, Reader Weekly. He also writes humor for the critically acclaimed local magazine, The Cheerleader. He is thankful that his first book, Billy Joel: All About Soul (2000) was released under another name. In 1996, he received his master’s degree in English from the University of MN-Duluth. He currently works in Duluth as a disgruntled postman, because he sure as hell couldn’t live off what he’s paid at the Reader.
