Take love and loyalty, mix it thoroughly with faith.
Blend it with tenderness, kindness, and
understanding.
Add friendship and hope.
Sprinkle abundantly with laughter.
Bake it with sunshine.
Serve daily in generous helpings.
Together read I Corinthians 13:1-13 each week.

Be sure that always on your table is found a
Good sized shaker of the salt of common sense,
And a jar of honey to sweeten a bitter day.
I Corinthians 13, “Though I speak with the tongue of
men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a
tinkling cymbal. And though I have the
gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I
have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am
nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor.
And though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me
nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is
kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth
not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh
no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all
things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there
be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away,
for we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall
be done away. When I was a child, I
spake as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face
to face: now I know in part; but then
shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of
these is charity.”
Today in our uncertain world it is possible to have a happy home. The Word of God provides the recipe. As in any recipe the proper ingredients must first be assembled. Care should be taken to see all ingredients are of high quality and fresh, not stale and old. As the foundational ingredient in bread is a good flour, the foundation of the happy home is the sure knowledge of knowing Christ and knowing He is the base for all things. Your foundation will remain secure when it is Christ. As mentioned in an earlier chapter, Satan is the great deceiver, and he will try to fool you into thinking things will never work out for you, in fact it could be better if you and your spouse were not

About the Book
Along the Heavenly Highway takes the reader through
times of trial and times of blessing as the author shows the practical side of
being a Christian. God intended to
become a part of our daily life, these chapters help the reader see how to
allow Him to guide on a day to day basis.
While there are many great authors and deep books to study sometimes we
need only to know our heavenly Father can reach us right where we are.
The author’s solid faith and strong sense of humor
are easily seen, both of which are needed in today’s world. A love for the Word of God and a love for
His children is easily seen throughout the book. You will feel inspired by the poems between chapters, encouraged
by the book. If you want a book to read
a little at a time, this will suit you well.

About the Author
Life experience and God’s many blessings, as well as
her five children, have given the author a wealth of material from which to
draw for the book. She has worked in
several areas of ministry and met an interesting variety of people who have
impacted her life.
Being a mother of five is in itself and
education. Today she and her husband of
forty three years work as church builders.
God has given her a love for people and the desire to be an encourager
along the journey of life.
