About the Author

Donna's educational background in Child Development afforded her an excellent opportunity to encourage the joy of books and gain insight into the themes children find most intriguing. Her deep affection for children and passion for books inspired her to write Cricket Tales. Donna is a published author of poetry that also includes poetry for children. In 2001 she received the Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry from the International Library of Poetry .She is an active participant in the South Carolina Writer's Workshop. Donna chooses to express herself through her artwork and writing, however, she finds writing for children the most enriching. She resides with her husband in a diminutive town in South Carolina.
