About the Author

W.S. “Bill” Melton, Jr. is a southern writer, humorist, and good ol’ boy who writes a humor column that is carried by a number of newspapers in North Carolina to include the Gaston Gazette, Monroe Enquirer Journal, Bladen Journal, and the Hickory Daily Record.

As a humorist, Bill is popular on the speaking trail and he has spoken to civic groups, trade associations, festivals, and county fairs. Of all these, Bill’s favorites are the after dinner speaking engagements since they usually feed him for free.
