“ONE DAY AT A TIME”
As we all try to meditate,
down life’s merry road.
struggling with all our hardships,
and lugging our heavy load.
Awake to face each tomorrow,
a first step to really shine,
and keep within our memories,
to take one day at a time.
With caring and sharing among us,
while honesty is there it’s true.
Being loyal to those around us,
is what we strive to do.
Each life’s a one way venture,
make changes as you go,
for there’s no instant replay,
from the results of the seeds we sow.
“OUR NATIONAL BIRD”
An Eagle soars in Heavenly skies,
and floats upon a breeze.
With oh such care from way up there,
and does it with such ease.
So graceful as it glides along,
to climb and dip for speed.
A mother bird in search for pray,
her young for her to feed.
As she glides her merry way,
her eyes upon the ground.
She climbs and dips so beautifully,
until that pray is found.
Into a dive from where she is,
with target kept in sight.
She clamps her claws around that pray,
