About the Book
'Crime of Pension' definitively
answers the age-old question, 'Does Crime Really Pay?'. What do you do when you
are a career criminal and find you have been captured not only by the laws of
man but also by the laws of nature? Our characters find themselves nearing
release from prison and facing the reality of aging crooks' uncertain futures.
They have typically not participated in retirement programs, they have not even
contributed to Social Security. Suppose they could figure out a way to commit
one more score, big enough to retire on, and do it while still in prison. This
is a no lose proposition for our lovable crooks. Make it happen and they have
their retirement; get busted and, well, life in prison is a kind of retirement
with free room and board forever. This would certainly be called a 'Crime of
Pension'! This premise and a diverse group of delightful characters begin the
crime with plots and subplots growing within an increasingly funny set of
circumstances. Throw in a vindictive antagonist who plagues these imaginative
crooks and soon you will begin to cheer for our crew and see the emergence of a
successful retirement.
