''A LITTLE SOMETHING''

Book Details
About the Book
Written from “a peon in this vast
universe” type of viewpoint in an effort to find out more about God who is the
creator of life, love and all things, the author looks around, explores,
discovers, falls down and arises because of her undying curiosity about life.
The question “why?” always pops
up when things don’t go so right.
“What?” is not too far behind as she endeavors to identify the
problem. “Where?”,
of course, follows because once you’ve located the culprit, the next step is
where to begin working on the solution.
“When?” immediately comes to mind after establishing locale in order to
start right away working on solutions. Finally, “how?”--with God’s guidance is the only way (the
author believes) to approach a situation, find the
right answer and solve the problem!
“A Little Something”
is the author’s first work written out of an attempt to capture the right
perspective in her life with the help of God’s word in a not-so-right
environment. Her writings are a
reflection of thoughts and emotions experienced as she
contemplates about life, discovers love and makes an effort to express
it all within the pages of this book.
About the Author
The author described in one word - versatile.
Poems such as "Enthusiasm, "Determination", "Goals", "Just A Thought", "Possibility", “All Those Lies You Told Me” “Emotions”, "Fantasy" and "Sweet Memories" convey a youth's perspective and naiveté.
"Unmentioned Experience" and "Hang In There" deal with unpleasant situations encountered. On the other hand, "Flirtation" goes from boredom to suggestion of whimsical action. "Just Lookin'" captures a thought on the brink of reckless abandonment right before self-control steps in.
Spiritually, "Discovery" describes Karen's first encounter with Jesus Christ and the praise goes on through "Have You Thanked God Today?", "Think of Jesus and Smile!" and "Keep the Faith Alive!” "Isn't the Sunshine Wonderful'" and "Line the Way with Love" spread joy!
"Ending Lines" by Derrick Maddox and "Vivia" are loving memories of her brother and sister.
Writing or life's aspects/experiences tram heart, soul and mind; this is a first attempt to share her life's outlook.
