About the Book

ENGLISH 422 reveals the power of the impact we can have upon

one another.

The students of Professor Abbie Cutter''s English 422 class are not

thinking of that impact as they interact and react, sharing their inner

thoughts and lives through their writings . The resulting  effect of their

time together is intense; eventually leading to the death of one student,

the success of another, and the discovery of a new life for a third.

Professor Cutter appears to be more a facilitator than a professor,

as she uses herself to create an interactive environment among her

young, graduating  students.

The reader will observe that in addition to the English education of

one group of college students, this unique novel presents an

abbreviation of life itself . The student''s experiences are stories

within the story; and the dramatic, life-changing events that evolve,

will keep you riveted!

One cannot escape identifying with one or more of the characters,

nor can one escape seeing the need of becoming more keenly

aware of the profound influence we can have on others.

"A must read for anyone who is curious about the passion

that fuels the writing process."

                - Dr. K. Marinucci – Assistant Visiting Professor, Hofstra

University.  Former Professor at NYU and State University,

                  New York.

About the Author

Judith A. Jackson splits her time between her Milwaukee condo and her home on Green Lake in Wisconsin.  An Occupational Therapist by degree, she left the profession to raise her son and daughter, now established adults, and followed their independence with years of university credits and experiences in writing.  She felt her way with poetry and short stories, and worked with Very Special Arts for years, bringing the art of writing to the incarcerated, the severely disabled, and children at risk.  English 422 is a journey into her own experiences as a young person, and the observations gained from participating in her children's growth and development.  At 64, her favorite activity is still boogey-boarding.
