Planet Earth is a pregnant, living entity. Its purpose at this time in cosmic evolution is to support all forms of life, from the microscopic single celled organism to the mania known as man. I am certain that in the galactic scheme of things, Earth’s existence serves other functions, but than these are beyond human comprehension.
Suffice it to say that it wouldn’t be a stretch to draw an analogy between our inner organs as life support and Earth’s identical contribution to our survival. If one could imagine the planet covered in all it’s circumference at every longitude and latitude with teeming life, then to consider Earth as an internal life sustaining instrument should be easily visualized and understood.
In reality we abuse both in similar ways don’t we? We do drugs and eat unhealthy foods, we do not exercise properly or practice hygiene as we should, and we are not particularly attentive to imbalances when they occur. The same for all could be said concerning our interaction with Mother Earth.
We drill into her and cut into her with cruel abandon. We pluck and plunder her resources, her treasure and jewels, and suck the water from beneath her parched skin only to wonder why she buckles and convulses while reacting to the violation. Where everything once served a purpose now nothing makes any sense. We drill offshore and on land retrieving fossil fuels to run inefficient heating systems and operate antiquated engines. We divert water from ancient streams and rivers to irrigate new crops on old land that farmers are increasingly paid not to grow. We build and operate nuclear facilities when no plan exists to dispose of the waste. We explode nuclear warheads deep inside our Mother’s belly with no regard to consequence even when the technology is present to conduct all tests with computer simulation. We continue to log old growth forests to supply building material when the technology is present to develop synthetic alternatives. We as a species, clear cut millions of acres in the rain forests so that beef can be raised for McDonald’s, then wonder why the rainwater which was once plentiful, now has to be drilled for or pumped in from outside sources. We strip mine the skin from our Mother leaving her with festering and open sores.
It is disgustingly immoral and irresponsible behavior.

is a philosophical treatise that identifies social problems within The United
States, provides solutions for the problems, and explains how to pay for the
solutions.
The book is unique in that it
lacks any agenda other than providing a blueprint designed to preserve
RxAmerica
tells the truth of us and of how we interact with one another. It is both an
indictment and a prayer; an indictment of what we have become as citizens of
the most powerful and economically prosperous nation in civilization’s history,
and a prayer that our personal evolution catches up with and surpasses our
technology.
The topics covered are brief and
direct. The purpose of the book is not to clutter up pages with pretty prose or
to inundate the reader with galaxies of statistics. The purpose is to attempt
to impress upon the reader that we ran out of time in the middle of the
twentieth century; as of this writing we are quite honestly losing ground.
We are a species of animal
overwhelmed with mixed and confusing messages. We are a people praying for
clarity. We need to understand in lay terms the influences and their dynamics
that have so limited us in our perception.
The influences are truly rooted
in the corporate seduction of a beleaguered and susceptible consumer; a
consumer who cries out for love and intimacy only to be offered fast food and
fantasy fun.
RxAmerica
provides a direction that could return us back to a time when the dreams we
dreamed were our own; to a time when freedom was more than a word.
