A Lonely Spot Looks Out to Sea Happy in Its Poetry
Poetry, I have found a fertile place for you;
Please tell your cousin, Art, and come
To the sandy white, sun-swept shores of
The pelicans, awkward birds on shore,
Will give you of their grace, sweeping surely
out to sea.
The purple parabola of peace
Will become more clear than was your clearest
memory,
The sky is what I mean to mean
If you can see through this, my murky poetry.
