He was quiet for a few moments, then said:
“Say, that reminds me about the time me and my combat buddies, were being
followed by an unknown enemy, deep in the jungle... at midnight. They were so good at tracking us, that we
never heard so much as a twig snapping, or a rustling in the bushes. Just total silence... but we knew they were
there. So we made our way to a clearing,
and our demolition expert created a wide circle of Claymore mines, pointing
outward. Then we stood in the center,
with our backs to each other, and our M-16’s locked and loaded. For a long time, it was quiet in that dark
jungle... but when the moon shone through the clouds, I saw a huge pair of eyes
staring at me, from somewhere in the trees.
I screamed, and started firing.
My buddy detonated the mines, and the explosions ripped through the
jungle... shaving off branches, and tearing down trees. Then everyone was yelling, and firing wildly
into the jungle.

About the Author
