Organizations in the 21st century continue to learn from business failures that were the result of bad managerial decision-making, unethical business decisions, and/or dysfunctional business models. It is critical for leaders to understand the nature of the problems caused by bad business decisions that can produce disastrous results and ultimately lead to business failures.

This book outlines various situations of organizations in crisis and the tools management needs to recover from such situations. This book discusses functions of management that are critical to the success of an organization. In addition, examples are provided throughout the book of businesses in crisis and how we can learn from their good and bad management decisions.

About the Author

In 2002-2004, ten students came together to complete a Master of Science in Management degree from Oakland City University. As part of the program, they were required to complete a final project. The concept of a book discussing good and bad management decisions evolved, especially with class discussions about businesses caught in crisis; businesses like Enron, Arthur Andersen, Qwest, & Kmart.

The group wrote this book to help managers understand the importance of making sound decisions in daily business practices. Whether the topic be financial management. communication, marketing, or any other area of business, making good decisions is crucial to  success. The authors hope the reader can learn from both the good and bad management decisions presented throughout the book.
