About the Book

The Ultimate Reprisal is a work of fiction, loosely, based on actual events over the last century. It is a tribute to the “FORGOTTEN GENERATION”, those Italian immigrants who struggled through hard times: hard work, rejection, discrimination and a Great Depression! As if not enough, they lost their sons and daughters in World War II. It is as well a tribute to their dedication and sacrifice to make a better life for us all. Let us never forget them!!! Through a carefully detailed plot, long held plans for justice and revenge, combine to render an original amalgamation of mystery, intrigue, vengeance and violence. Revolving around two powerful men, this family saga unfolds as Union Leader, William Farsace comes into conflict with Michael Palermo. Even though the men are related, Palermo decides that he needs his cousin out of his way in order to further his own nefarious plans. Mafia justice finally prevails on the unscrupulous businessman and settles a long standing family feud. The bad blood in this Italian family dates back to the turn of the last century when Patsy, an immigrant “Muratore”, mason/bricklayer, arrives at Ellis Island in America. This historical fiction novel is perfect for readers who are huge fans of The Godfather Trilogy and thrilling crime fiction books—especially gangster fiction or mafia novels!

About the Author

William P. Farone, the son of first generation Italian-Americans, was born in Rochester’s West Side and attended local parochial schools.  His father and grandfather both were “muratores”, mason-bricklayers.  At a young age, he experienced hard work with his father, carrying bricks and mixing the “mud”.  Not wanting to be a bricklayer himself, he finished high school at Aquinas and got a degree in Political Science from St. John Fisher College, both Basilian catholic schools in Rochester, New York.

Following graduation, he married Mary Jane Marino and accepted a sales position with a major building materials manufacturer.  He enjoyed the opportunity to call on the construction trade, drawing from his youthful experience.  After his first born, Melissa, one of four daughters, Bill ventured out on his own to start an entrepreneurial career.  He can look back on a career in life insurance, over forty years, with The MONY Life Insurance Company.  His business experience goes well beyond insurance, however.  He takes great pride in his role as a developer and part owner, overseeing the completion of a condo project in the 1000 islands, NY.  In the 80’s he became a stockholder and director of the First National Bank in Rochester.  He considers himself a Seniors’ Advisor for Annuities, Life Insurance and Long-Term Care Plans.

Today, he enjoys his role as a senior agent, looking after his customers needs, golfing, fishing and wintering in Florida.  He is especially proud of his wife, Mary Jane and his children; Mellissa Carvin, Paula Peterson, Mary Jo, and Carla Giambrone and his grandchildren;  Matthieu and Eugene Carvin, Marina and Philip Giambrone.
