Most children get excited when they find out about their teachers’ birthdays. Gifts and cards are a must! Some gifts are bought, and some are “made with love”. However, a fifth grade girl found herself at a loss for that perfect gift for her beloved teacher, so she turned to the one place that could provide her with a solution to her dilemma….her church. The next day as each child showered their teacher with their birthday wishes, the girl stood back and waited for that perfect moment when she could have a personal, private moment to give her gift. When the time was right, she timidly approached her teacher and whispered, “I thought that you and your husband might like to use these tonight to have a drink.” After thanking her and giving her a hug, the teacher apprehensively opened the gift. As she slowly removed the paper, which protected the contents, she discovered two communion glasses that the girl had stolen from her church!
New teachers usually never give it a second thought whenever they allow students to go to the restroom unattended, but there are limits to the length of time that students need to take restroom breaks. On one such occasion, a new first grade teacher began to get suspicious when some of her boys had not returned from the restroom after a reasonable amount of time, so she sent another student to check on them. The student came back out of breath and told the teacher that she had better go down to the boy’s restroom. Not knowing what to expect, she quickly went to check on them. When she opened the restroom door, she discovered the boys playing football. Not only were they
playing football, but also they were using their bundled up clothes as a football. Yes, the boys were totally naked!
