About the Book

“Poetry Carnival” is a collection of poetry pertaining to lost loves, found hope and words inspired by my carnival life.  This book has a poem for everyone, from the high school student who’s been bullied, to the carnival worker and the office professional - from those who feel that all hope is gone and teetering on the verge of life and death to those who have deep faith.  A part of everyone exists at the poetry carnival. For, on the midway of life, we are all looking for our exits, our thrills and taking our chances.

About the Author

Lori S. Maynard grew up in the small town of Alexandria, Indiana.  She enjoyed walking the plowed fields looking for arrowheads, marching in her high school band and writing poetry.  Many dramatic events have shaped this young poet’s life from auto accidents to traveling with a carnival.  Her words are words of true heartfelt pain and the realization that hope and reason does exist.  She believes that everything happens for a reason.  She has won some awards for her poetry and has won many poetry contests on multiple poetry boards on the internet.  She has written poetry by request for people all over the world.

In her spare time, Lori enjoys shooting pool and riding her motorcycle.
