Saturated by centuries of abuse by religious powers, spellbound for years by science, its mechanics of “reason” and the bubbling of new social ideologies, scientists and intellectuals of the nineteenth century threw themselves head first in the scientific and socialist adventure. They took advantage of the quickly expanding scientific knowledge to seize the powers of religion over the people, crying high and loud that Hegel’s new philosophy on the eternity of the matter, his god, conferred them all this legitimacy. They adopted the Cartesian scientific methodology of research to explore our material universe and took advantage of the new accumulated knowledge to slip into the commands of the States. For nearly a century these scientists and intellectuals have completely governed the occidental world.
The new material knowledge acquired at the speed of light on the matter and the plethora of technological applications coming from this knowledge has deeply changed the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the planet all along this scientific excursion. This dominance of sciences still continues to expand today at a vertiginous rhythm. Many of the materialistic and social ideologies that have been put forward refuse to die and greatly help spread the evil of materialism among men. Most currents thoughts and ideologies developed at that time continue to grow through education with science and technology, and are taught as being the only real truth. Reinforced by the natural thirst of man for all that is material, the new technologies have changed the world as well as man’s instinctive taste for this materiality that continues to stand out pitifully everywhere in man and society. The world is today literally eaten away by this materialistic evil which turns people to asocial levels and dehumanizes societies.
Born of the enthusiasm of Hegel followers and Marx’s scientific materialism, all these social ideologies have left a great number of disastrous side effects on our physical world as well as on people and society. The social ideologies are still taught by the defenders of the reason (logos) as being the only real truth, although they were never demonstrated with scientific experiments. Moreover, scientists and holders of the reason have always refused to take into account both the true material and spiritual nature of the human being. So, when they were applied without humanity, the unproven lucubration of the pseudo scientists of the reason and of intellectuals have often been catastrophic to the environment, to life on earth, and the human values were lost in these deeply dehumanized individuals and societies.
However, 150 years after Hegel’s philosophy of god the matter and the strong domination of Karl Marx’s scientific and social materialism in the Occident, physicians have demonstrated that the matter is biodegradable and thus cannot be eternal, nor can it be considered as God. And so, suddenly, all the social systems developed for men to live in societies where the matter is God and all the powers built on these false social ideologies lost all their legitimacy.
The people educated in this materialistic system of education without the humanities were then transformed into mechanical robots without humanity. So the air, the water, the earth and the seas, these elements necessary to life on earth were inhumanly damaged by the great pressure of the technological applications and the absence of humanity. This is well demonstrated by the disastrous effects of pollution on our world, the destruction of life on earth, the materialization of man and his societies and the endless chaos, wars, extinctions of people, destructions of humanity, etc. that marked the twentieth century as the century of technological explosion and of the reason (logos) applied without the humanities.
There is a great imbalance between man and nature and between materialism and the humanity of man. Confrontations appear everywhere between these protagonists. They are tearing our world apart.
Through education, people communicate this materiality like an epidemic into all fields of human activity and spread its evil and morbidity everywhere. The supremacy of the sciences and their material values in education dethrones the former humanities and the traditional values. In its place, they transmit their materialism to the soul of the people and of the societies. After a few decades of such scientific forming without the humanities, sacred social symbols disappear and people are transformed into materialized and atheistic robots… These humanoid robots forget that they were former human beings made with matter and spirit.
The world is now invaded with this dehumanized and increasing atheism of the individuals using mainly material values in their everyday lives. They engender indescribable chaos and transform into science everything they touch: economy, politics, administration, psychology, the matters taught, the traditional professions, etc. All ranges of human activity are undergoing a similar indigestion of this materiality carried by sciences, technologies and their “sacred reason”.

About the Book
“Towards the Death of Humanity” is the endless demonstration of the disastrous side effects left on our environment, on life on this planet, on health and most of all on human dehumanization by a century of tremendous scientific and technological realizations and their material values.
It illustrates how these unhealthy side effects are highly linked to the hasty and thoughtless decisions of scientists, intellectuals and governments to replace the humanities and the traditional methods of teaching with their own methods of science, technology and their essentially material values. Unfortunately totally deprived of the smallest bit of humanity, this method of education has killed the rudiments of humanity acquired during the course of history, has dehumanized the people, their institutions and their societies.
These side effects originate in the age-old desire of intellectuals and scientists to take hold of the power of religion over man and to satisfy their morbid need to build a new world, re-designed following Hegel’ belief that the matter is eternal and God. Although these ideologies have lost all their legitimacy today because science has recently demonstrated that the matter is not eternal, scientists and intellectuals keep on teaching the falseness of their materialistic social system as if the logic of their reasoning were the only truth.
This work promotes certain guidelines that individuals must follow to make the lucid and effective compromises needed to try and solve these destructive problems affecting man and society before the end of History.
About the Author
Doctor Gilles Lamoureux is a medical doctor, a researcher and a laboratory man specialized in clinical immunology. Doctor Lamoureux is a retired professor from the Université de Montréal and the Université du Québec in Montreal. He guided dozens of students in their extracurricular activities during their MSc, their PhD and their post-doctoral research work on multiple sclerosis, cancer immunology, allergy, clinical immunology and environmental immunology. He published over a hundred international scientific papers, presented over a hundred scientific conferences on his research work, wrote a book on BCG in cancer immunotherapy and produced a film entitled “A Question of Immunity” with colleges, etc. He just finishes writing his last book “Towards the death of Humanity”.
Doctor Lamoureux considers himself as an ordinary citizen and gives himself the right to wonder as he watches his fellowmen and observes the regrettable dehumanization phenomenon taking place all around him. He is very much aware of the colossal movement that is hindering the people, the modern world, society, environment and the very existence of life on earth, and has always denied having the scientific authority to write this book or to blame anyone.
His knowledge comes from his education, his readings and his life spent between suffering individuals and a laboratory, where he tries to find solutions to relieve men of their diseases. At the school of science, he learned to watch life evolve around him and has always conserved the faculty to be amazed by the unlimited forms of life found on our planet. However far he looks, he always sees life and is constantly impressed by the biodiversity of forms of life in our world: human beings, animals, insects, trees and plants, earth itself with its seas, its rivers and its brooks which are all filled with all this life. He is completely conscious that life is the outcome of our universe even though scientists have not yet been able to prove this with scientific evidence. As a professor, he considers it his task to become conscious of all this and to make others aware of it.
