CONGRATULATIONS
From crib to college
We’ve watched you grow;
How much we love you
You’ll never know.
We pray for you
God’s very best.
Just follow God’s leading
He’ll do the rest.
We want you to win
In whatever you do.
Hard work and good plans
Make it happen for you.
So on this day of
High School Graduation
We want to say, “God bless you”
And sincere congratulations.
GOD OF ORDER
Our God is the creator of the universe,
Of Heaven and the vast regions of space;
He made earth, with air, water, and trees,
For man, a dwelling place.
Each tiny flower shares its beauty,
Gigantic suns twinkle as stars;
The mountains and river share their grandeur
With man, on this planet of ours.
God sends the rain and the sunshine,
And the seasons, in order flow;
And a baby grows to manhood
Before a tree can grow.
The life of a man is measured
By days and months and years;
And spring always follows winter
And after darkness, the dawn appears.

Poetry on Occasion was written for the purpose of thanking God for blessings given, encouraging others through dark and difficult days, expressing Spiritual meditation gleaned from Scripture, the Christian Life, and the wonders of God’s creation.
Taken from all phases of life, the poetry is inspirational, devotional, and easy to read and enjoy.
About the Author
Mavis was born in rural
Writing poetry has been a means of self-expression and a means of sharing with others in times of job, illness, celebration, discouragement and meditation.
Mavis and her husband Doug have four adult children and seven grandchildren who have been a joy and an inspiration for many of the poems. Mavis was an Elementary School Teacher until her retirement. She remains active in the Warsaw Presbyterian Church and community activities.
