A HUMAN BAZAAR
A single coin rolled down the street
A spasm of human error
And there twas spied by humans three
So lonely…..and lacking bearer
Said each unto his lonely self
I must make metal mine
And thoughts unsaid, the three ran off
A vying for a time
A jostling scrambling trio…..
Pedestrians in crime
While stares and glares of wonderment
Filled street from sidewalk lines
The three they ran as best they could
As coin rolled past their wines
The three grew tired as all abreast
They finally lunged at coin gone west
And fought each other as if their brother
Had stolen their Sunday best
And as they wrassled and fought in the dust
There rounded the corner a city bus
Which flattened the three
Now heroes, I trust
So their families sued the city…..
And the city declared it’s pity
And thus be said by one and all
Not I, but most of all the others
That fates have greater ironies…..
When all good men are brothers.

Amidst the tombs
Where suits be knaves
Exists a monument
A single spire
Of stone engraved
In honor of
The dead that slaved
In nameless
Faceless
Glory
Their deeds erased
By newer trash
That oils the gears
That groan and mash
The bureaucratic pulps
Their numbers and minds
Replaced by kinds
Just newer, tho the same

As the poetry be dark so too do the “talks” be light and wonderfully human. Diversity is present in over 100 sometimes bizarre poems and 8 shortish talks. Subjects are untraditional and unusual. It is indeed “A Journey Through The Unexpected”, and each poem brings a fresh surprise.
Some of the content is not suitable for children and perhaps some is not suitable for some adults. No profanity or sexuality.
About the Author
The author is an aging Baby Boomer in his mid 50’s. He has the curious habit, in his latter years, of writing tidbits of strange erratica which unfortunately may find their way into book form occasionally. Despite his lack of literary and journalistic diplomas, and the proper breeding and pedigree for his efforts, he still manages to get one word next to the other in a halfway communicative manner [much to the chagrin of a mere handful of people who spent near lifetimes regarding him as a version of the village idiot]. Let each reader of the book be their own judge of those matters
