About the Book

Journey with the author on her kayaking adventures from a fish camp in Oak Hill.  Explore the backwaters of the Inland Waterway and the Mosquito Lagoon; meet the local folk and discover a vanishing way of life.  Learn the secrets of the sex lives of such humble creatures as the oyster and the jellyfish.  Spend a night on the Indian River when the shrimp are running and relish some heirloom recipes.

Share her personal journal entries over a four year period, as she begins the process of healing from a great personal loss and comes to terms with a rapidly changing world.
