One job left to do;
As I wipe the tears and force a smile.
Kiss my little girl;
And walk her down the aisle.
Another turn of nature’s clock;
A generation’s
A new day is now approaching;
For my next of kin.
I stare at the casket;
Draped with the nation’s cloth.
I’m momentarily startled;
As the guns go off.
