About the Book
This delightful collection of poems by Jan Hughey is as diverse as one shaped like a Christmas tree, to one about a cat. The Individuality poem discusses the four temperaments; another is about favorite sandwiches. A couple of poems deal with shopping trips and negatives that are important for improvements. Some people in Jan’s life have memories in verse, while some poems squeeze the heart until juice leaks from the eyes, evoking praises to Him. Most of the poems are illustrated with colored photographs. Children will enjoy the pictures while adults read to them. This is a companion book to Tolerating the Sweet Life, which chronicles events in Jan’s life with Juvenile-Onset, Type 1, Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus since 1950.
