The Leaves Are Burning
The leaves of the earth are burning
For the love I have for you,
Purifying our mind, body and soul,
As for my spirit of love,
It shall follow you wherever you may go.
The leaves of the earth are burning
For the statue of our love,
Standing tall across the blue waters,
From the first day we met,
The leaves of the earth are burning
For the acceptance of my invitation,
Into a kingdom of love.
The expectation of my love is high.
That’s why
I reserve not the right to dominate your freedom.
I reserve the right to love you in every season
And even make our own season.
The leaves of the earth are burning,
An ingredient in the recipe of our love,
A love that simmers
And nourishes our hearts.
The leaves of the earth are burning
For the love that is the truth,
Instructing not to falsify my love for you.
The leaves of the earth are burning,
Burning for my conviction,
Sentenced to love you for life.

There’s No Poetry
There’s no poetry anymore.
Poetry in each of us has no home,
Poetry as it is,
Poetry as it should have been.
Freedom within yourself is paradise.
Poetry we can hear, feel,
Poetry we can touch.
Poetry in each of us has no home.
There’s no poetry anymore.
Has poetry left us behind?
Poetry that allowed us to fend for ourselves,
Poetry that gave us the courage,
The courage to fight a battle of love with words.
Poetry we all have forgotten,
Poetry we never embraced,
Poetry we never had the chance to feel,
Poetry, the only drug I need when I need a fix,
There’s no poetry anymore.
Poetry that made us love again,
Poetry that destroyed the love for hate.
Poetry that allowed us to discover
A world unknown to us.
Poetry trapped inside of you,
Poetry that cleared your polluted mind,
Poetry that made you believe,
Poetry that gave you custody of your life,
Poetry that showed you the way home,
Poetry, we all held close,
Sadly, there’s no poetry anymore.
