About the Book

A college coed has been missing all winter and her remains have been discovered in the Siskiyous Mountains of Northern California. The case has gone cold and Mickey Dunn, new to private investigation after his success in Rendezvous With A Habit, in which he nearly single-handedly breaks up the largest crystal meth ring in Central California, takes the case. The victim had a history of promiscuity, especially with older men, for whom she had voracious appetite for receiving oral sex. There are plenty of suspects with motive and opportunity, and in true-whodonit fashion, the reader doesn’t discover the killer until the clever twist ending. In solving the murder, Mick has to fight the obstacles of the local Indian tribe, small town provinciality, the drug community, church hypocrisy, and his own demons. As in Rendezvous With A Habit, the reader should be prepared for a lot of sex as the intimate background of the victim and the continuing graphic relationship of Mick and his girlfriend, Marlene, are tastefully yet graphically illustrated.

About the Author

Michael Harte interrupted a successful teaching career to write his first novel (Rendezvous With A Habit), a suspense thriller, in 2007. A scholarship athlete elected to his college Hall of Fame in 1992, his protagonist, Mickey Dunn, loves physical action and lives on the edge. A highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam War with experience in intelligence, Michael claims he writes only about what he experiences first hand. Mickey Dunn, appears in nine other novels, all laced with suspenseful intrigue, sizzling romance, and plenty of action. Michael further always exposes the underlying themes of political corruption, Machiavellianism, co-dependency, and the male menopause. His next publications will include a political conspiracy and a women’s prison novel. A native of Illinois, he currently lives in the American Southwest.
