Be a God Pleaser

Enoch was the brightest star of the patriarchal age. It is but little that is recorded in the word of God concerning this man that would be a true God pleaser. But this little was and is enough to make his name greater than the name of the other Enoch who had a city named after him. Enoch was truly a man after Gods own heart and was pleasing to God to the point that he was a true God pleaser and we to can become men and women after Gods own heart and hear him say that our testimony pleases him and we have become and will be a God pleaser.

We see in the word two things that made Enoch a God pleaser and not a world or people pleaser. Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah Gen 5:22 and again Enoch walked with God verse 24. Enoch walked with God as a God pleaser which denotes ( true religion ) what is godliness, but walking with God to the point that you please him and become a true God pleaser.

We as children of God have to walk the walk and talk the talk that is pleasing to God. We have to let God shine through us in every area of our lives that the world will see Christ in our smile, in our looks, in our talk, in our walk, that when the world even sees our shadow they see Christ in it and then and only then will you be pleasing to God to the point of where you are a God pleaser and the world is not in you.

Enoch was not like the ungodly and profane who are without God in the world. They are world and people pleasers they walk ungodly before God. But Enoch and Godly Christians walk with God and are God pleasers. For two cannot walk together except they agreed ( Amos 3:3 )and it includes all the parts and instances of a godly, righteous and sober life. We cannot walk after the world and except to be a God pleaser we have to come out from among them and be separated.

We have to put on the whole armor of God that we maybe able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we cannot serve two masters. But we must walk with the God Enoch walked with in a godly and righteous and holy and sober life that is pleasing to God in order to become a God pleaser.

To be like Enoch and other men and women of the bible we have to walk with God and to set God always before us and to be the apple of his eye and to please him to the point that we are God pleasers and not world or people pleasers. We have to live a life of communion with God and make Gods word our rule and his glory our end in all our actions. We must put God first in everything praying reading the word, make the word our rule that we will go by, worship God in praise and song and be lead by the Spirit of God to the point that we please God in every area of our lives so that we can become and be a God pleaser.

We must endeavor in everything to please God and walk in nothing to offend him. It is to do his will and to be workers together with him. It is to be followers of him as dear children.

Enoch was entirely dead to the things of this world. We must die out to this world in order to be a God pleaser. Enoch not only walked after God as all good men and women should do but Enoch walked with God as if he was in heaven with God already and there forth became a God pleaser. Enoch lived higher and above the rate not only good in bad times, but Enoch lived the best in good times to be a pleaser of God and to become more like God and be a God pleaser.

God despises not his prisoners, no bars nor gates can shut out God’s gracious presence from the true God pleaser, for God has promised that he would never leave us nor forsake us.

Integrity and righteousness qualify the God pleaser for the divine favor of God, wherever we are. Joseph was not long a prisoner before he become a little ruler in the prison, because God was with Joseph the God pleaser which is to be attributed, under God. See God gave Joseph favor of the keeper of the prison and God will give you and I favor of men and women if we stand our ground for God and please God to the point that he calls you his friend and a true God pleaser.

God pleaser, God can raise up friends for us even where we little expect to find them, and can make them to be pitied even of those that carry us captive Psa:106:46. See even the keeper of the prison saw that God was with Joseph that he was a God pleaser, and that everything prospered under Joseph’s hand, and therefore trusted him with the management of the affairs of the prison Gen:39:22,23. A God pleaser will do good wherever he or she is, and will be a blessing even in bonds and banishment, for the spirit of the Lord to a true God pleaser is not bound nor banished Phil:1:12,13.

Now we are leading up to Joseph’s rewarded, before the rewarded, we see where Joseph was used by God to interpret certain dreams of the prisoners as well as Pharaohs dream, interpreting Pharaohs dream Joseph was rewarded, God was pleased with Joseph as well as Pharaoh. There was a great honor given to Joseph by Pharaoh. Pharaoh gave Joseph an honorable testimony: He is a man in whom the spirit of God is, and this puts a great excellency upon Joseph or any man or woman that are God pleasers, such men and women ought to be valued, Gen:41:38.

Then Pharaoh goes on to say there is no discreet and wise as thou art, verse39. Now Joseph is abundantly rewarded for the disgrace that had been done to him, and his righteousness is as the morning light, Psa;37:6. God was blessing a true God pleaser. Pharaoh put him into an honorable office he did not only employ him to buy up corn, but Pharaoh made Joseph prime minister of state of his household, Pharaoh said thou shall be over my house, chief justice of the kingdom according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: Pharaoh made Joseph general of the forces verse 40.
