Before the beginning . . . darkness.

                          Las Vegas, Nevada – 1964

Sentenced to 20 years in prison for the horribly brutal rape and attempted murder of a local women near Sunrise Mountain, Patrick C. McKenna, aka Charles Allen James, barely 18 at the time of the attack, showed no emotion, as the jury read the verdict.

Patrick beat the woman without mercy before sodomizing her. A stick, which had a protruding nail, had been his weapon.

But this was not his first attack, and this was not the beginning.

It began on August 8, 1946 in Leadville, Colorado, when Patrick took his first breath, entering into this world, crying . . .

. . . and now, having served only 14 years out of his 20 year sentence, he is released. Perhaps it was his good behavior?

March 19, 1978, Patrick Charles McKenna is again a free man. Now, 31 ½ years old, he has spent most of his youth and all, but a couple weeks, of his adulthood, behind bars, being taught how to be a monster, from the inside out.

Patrick has learned how to survive in the jungle of hatred and pain, instead of the love and nurturing that he had so hoped for in his youth. His youth? It had ended before it had ever even begun.

And now they have released him, making him free, to do what ever he wants . . . what ever he feels like doing.
